Apply design principles to learning materials.
Training Specialists often need to double as Instructional Designers, creating learning materials that are both engaging and easy to understand. Without applying fundamental design principles, presentations can become cluttered, overwhelming, or ineffective in delivering key messages.
This course is designed to help Training Specialists apply essential design principles — such as clarity, relevance, contrast, and repetition — to create visually appealing and effective learning presentations.
I created this module for our training teams to show how applying eight key design principles can enhance learner engagement and retention through real-world examples, interactive comparisons, and knowledge checks.

Workshop & eLearning Development
Originally, this content was part of a larger workshop within a slide presentation. The initial iteration of this project was first created using a high-level outline using action mapping. Based on feedback, I transitioned the material into a standalone interactive eLearning module in Articulate Rise, making it a prerequisite for the workshop.
Before transitioning to Articulate Rise, I took the existing materials and refined the content using a written storyboard on Google Docs.
Finally, once the written storyboard was completed, I began developing the course within Articulate Rise. I sourced photographs found within Articulate Rise, and best practice examples were created and edited by me using the tools within Google Sheets and Google Slides.
